coolant temperature sensor problem

OK I have a 98 Z28 just put a 6.0 liter in it. The coolant temp sensor plug has 3 prongs on the harness.

Autozone and the deaership only sells a 2 prong for my car. The guy at autozone looked for a three prong and found one but it was a LOT too big.

Please help with a part number or some info.

Found it using the handy dandy search. I think folks are using the V6 sensor

i had the same exact problem yesterday on my 98. autozone gave me the 2 pronged sensor so i took it back and the guy said what i need is called the temperature switch not the coolant temp sensor. the temp switch has 3 prongs. hope its the right one...
