What cam specs should I use?

What cam specs should I use?

Hey guys,

Own a 00' SS M6 with your usuall bolt ons, LTs, LS6 intake, ported tb, ect.. also have 4.10's.

Wanna install a cam but not sure of the specs to go with.

Its a daily driver that will see no more than 150 shot of nitrous from time to time.

Any ideas?

how did you like that cam in your 408 if that were to be a daily driver? You really need to explain more what you are looking for but i would suggest a 228/228 on 114

I've been really liking my Patriot 225/229 .580/.590 114+4. I've surprised big cam cars due to it having a more usable powerband. However, when I get heads I want something in LOW 230's with a 112. The Patriot cam is VERY streetable, and I know I can maintain streetability while gaining a slight HP bonus with something slightly bigger.

Could have gone much bigger with the cam in the 408. Needed to maintain driveability. And even with that It was a Torque Monster! With this car I want the money and effort to be worth getting it installed by giving me the best gains, but staying very realiable. Thanks

you need a custom cam from some one who knows cams.most ls cams are designed for a 346 ls motor.contact Patrick-G for a cam the will better optimize your engines componets.
