Default Got borla xr1

I got a Borla xr1 setup just like the loud mouth or I guess I could say I have a Borlamouth setup.. The Borla sounds great with little or no rasp, but I just put it on and I have only drove it about 50 miles. I wonder if it will get a little louder with break in? Could someone explain to me what break in even is on a muffler? How does break in make a muffler louder?

when a muffler "breaks in" is ussually just when its been on long enough to have some carbon build up on the inside.

Like most straight through mufflers the XR1 is glass packed. As it begins to heatcycle loose fibers will burn up or blow out and the exhaust gasses will pack it all tighter. This will later make the muffler marginally louder. This is how a glasspacked/filled muffler "breaks in."
