Off-Idle Stumble Hello, I recently installed a CT 525 with a 750 Holley & an MSD 6012 Controller into a Dirt LAte Model. It has a terrible off-idle stumble, I have tried a 750 Gas Quick Fuel carb (new) & it did it. switched to a new QF 750 E-85 Carb, seems worse, & also tried a 850QF e85 that we had been running on an open motor (worked perfectly on the open motor) & it s still there.
Timing is 18@0rpm 24 @ 2000 28@ 4000 30 @ 5500 33 @ 7300
It bogs on initial throttle then comes back & runs great, you can hear the stumble when free revving it in the garage, on the track it is undrivable,when you throttle up it falls flat & then goes to instant WOT (like driving with a light switch for a throttle)
I called Quickfuel & they don't think its the carb since it does the same thing with all 3 carbs, but it sure looks, & sounds like a carb problem.
Just wondering if anyone has seen this before & can point me in the right direction.
