I installed the MSd 8.5 super conductor wires. They work good.

Stock ones are fine, unless you are looking for different colors or something.

I have Taylor '409' wires. They are red and look pretty good. Cost about $56. I needed new ones because one of the stock ones was cut down to the core.

My stock wires with a shade over 12,000 miles on them had .725" ohms of resistence and that is a huge amount when you consider how short the wires are. My MSD's had .025" resistence. The less resistence there is you get more voltage to your plugs, so therefore you will have a hotter spark and more complete combustion. HTH

I didn't know anyone measured resistance in inches.

You need adjustable ones for your Vette with FLP's.#3 and #7 touch the headers if you use straight ends..
The MSD's can be bent to give the clearence you need. Also use the heat socks on them too.

That's exactly what I saw. My stockers read about .720 ohm and the MSDs read about .024. Seems to me that the MSDs are about 30 times more efficient at conducting current. I used to swear by stock plugs too but the meter tells the tale quite clearly to me. I'm not saying that you could measure the difference on a dyno but I do think that you might see some difference in idle quality with the better plug wires when used on a heads/cam engine.
