In the middle of my LTs install..need help!
Yea, break the cats loose from the manifold first, that will help with being able to move the manifold around to clear the block and the bay. Did you remove the plugs also? Dont want them to catch on the manifold and break off. Are you doing this with the car raised any? I did mine on a lift, so that helped alot, but if your on the ground, its going to be a pain, especialy when putting the LTs on from under the car, but just take your time and you will get it done.
didnt remove any plug, i have a jack but its still a pain lol ill work on it 2moro am out of town..is it hard to remove the cats? i dont think the plugs are in the way.. thanks.
If they are stock cats and they have not been removed from the manifolds before, then yes, be prepaired to end up having to break a few bolts to get them off. You may need to soak them down with alot of break free to get any rust and grime off, but you will still end up breaking some bolts. Remove the spark plugs, you may not think they are in the way now, but you will cuss some when they do get in the way, or worse, you break one off. Better to just get them out the way.
