Default Another LSX note

Something I forgot to mention on my last post.
On my first run with the LSX we gained 1hp.We just looked and shook our heads figuring the intake was crap..We went over everything and found that the TB would not go 100%..On my car the PVC hookup was in the way of the throttle Cam.We just cut off a corner of the Cam that was hitting. This does not affect anything. Then we got all the power..

I've seen some lackluster results and wonder if the people running these checked to see that the TB was opening 100%.Mine was only opening 80% before cutting.

Kinda makes you wonder how much of the gain was actually from the new intake and how much was from fixing the partially open throttle body. Hmmm....

I was under the impression that it was only AFTER the LSX intake install that this contact became an issue, meaning that prior to the install there was no throttle blade limitations I assume?

I'll clear this up..Before the swap my throttle opened 100%.After the swap we did a pull and gained 1hp..After going over the swap we noticed the throttle hitting the PVC,then fixed it.
The PVC fitting is moved on the LSX closer to the TB.So my tests are 100% correct..This post is a warning for people to check that the TB is able to open 100%.
I'm wondering if the TSP test was done with the TB open 100% and also the MTI test since there gains were minimul. It is an easy thing to overlook.
