Question Under-drive pullies, who has installed them?

Under-drive pullies, who has installed them? And how hard was the task? I want to do something this winter, besides installing the B&M shifter.

If you have an M6 and a long breaker bar, and a good 3 finger pulley puller (Only certain sizes will fit, so maybe someone else can help with exactly which one you should get).

It will take no more than an hour, even your first time.

If you have an Auto, you have to come up with a way to stop the engine from turning when removing/installing the crank bolt. Many people remove the starter and wedge something against the flywheel teeth (I have an M6, so I have never done this)

It is a great mod IMHO....

yea M6 is easy, stick it in 6th and torque that bolt down. my auto was a bitch i had to jam a nice long screwdriver into the flywheel and hold it wedged against the bellhousing while my buddy torqued the bolt down.

should take a half hour to 45 min for a stick. just make sure to get a new crank bolt and follow the torque specs.

yeah just drop the starter out, it just has 2 bolts and stick a screwdriver in the flexplate.

You should not have a problem doing it your self with the proper tools, but I think it will take a little more than an hour if you have never done it. well worth it mod I like it

Pulley puller...rent it from auto parts store....
put the thing in 6th....put on the emergency brake....24mm???? socket
breaker bar..............GRUNT!!......
put on pulley....asp works well...get the crank bolt they make for it...

crank to 35ft/lbs and turn an extra 140* (I think I remembered that right???)
not sure about the extra 140*...that might be if you re-use the old bolt....????

maybe that extra is with an old bolt because when i put mine on with a new ARP bolt, it WOULD NOT MOVE more than about 30* after hitting the torque spec.
