Default 427 LS3 from Erl performance?

I was looking at the 427 ls3 erl sells. The plan is to get this motor at tax time! The wife gave me the go ahead. I love her.lol How much power can this motor put out? What cam/heads combo would be best? My car is a weekend toy only.

If you are going erl why not 454? I just had my ls2 block done. Give them 6 weeks or so if you send your own block in. What heads and intake are you going to run? If you run ls7 heads there is alot of good info on the corvette forum under z06. With a good set of heads 550+ rwhp shouldnt be a problem.

Cheap ported L92 heads/LS3 intake is a nice combo! If you have the cash, I would go for a set of TFS/AFR 245 and a FAST 102mm. Cant go wrong with a cathedral combo while some plp are having trouble getting the most out of their L92 style setup. Get a custom cam for sure. I would expect 500rwhp with a LS3 headed 427ci, and over 500 with TFS 245..

make sure you plan on saving up for a new rearend, transmission, converter, fuel system, and intake, and maybe some bigger headers. Along with a tune and other things that will come up but those are just some big ones.

LS2 block, Darton sleeved, 4.125 bore with 4 inch crank, WCCH Stage 3 heads, FAST 107mm intake with NW 107 TB. Built and cammed (very small) bu Shawn at VA Speed.

Numbers in sig. Not bad for a grocery getter.
