Starter Problem HELP!!!
Starter Problem HELP!!! I just got done doing a motor swap to my 98 camaro, every thing is ready to go but the starter is giving me problems. There is a heavy gauge red wire that goes from the battery to the starter, then there is another smaller wire that goes to the starter. When ever i hook the battery up the starter trys turning the motor over(key is off car is in park). Now this smaller wire is hot as soon as the battery gets hooked up, i even pulled the starter relay and as soon as i hook up the battery the start comes on. Im not sure y this smaller wire is always hot? Shouldn't only be hot when i turn the key to start the car????
