Default looking to upgrade my intake on 02 trans am

like the title says i want to get a new intake im making 407 whp now with just cam and headers what intake can i get that will make nice hp n will bolt right on to the stock fuel rail i was looking at the 102mm butdont know if it is a direct bolt on any help would be great

The only intake I would recommend spending money on would be the FAST setup. Unfortunately it does not fit with the stock fuel rails. IMO your money is better spent on a set of heads at this point. You will see a much better power pick up for your money with a set of ported heads of some kind.

What kind of heads would be good n what kind of power would i be looking at here n what kind of price

if you are on a budget then ls6 stg 2.5s are a good choice..they worked for my budget build..

the ls6 intake is good for 450 rwhp.port and polish you TB,and get a under drive crank pulley.look at some TSP heads,you will need bigger injectors then.

yes getting heads will be more cost effective than an intake. I did a budget build with 2.5 heads and love them. I make great power and have no issues.

ok so how much hp can i see come from the heads vs the intake
will the underdrive pulley mess with cooling or charging
where is the best place to get the set of heads n can i do the porting myself if so could i get a link if their is any

ok guys i have a buddy who is going to give me a good price on a set of stock ls2 heads i mean good like 150.00!!! i was thinking i can port them would this b a good idea n has anyone done this so i can get an idea of a hp range if not no big deal just trying to get my hp up cause my buddy is getting a 402 n this car i just would like to keep up hahaha

hard to say how much HP. It just depends on your cam really. how they work together and all

With that size cam I would stick with stock valves to maintain good piston to valve clearance. We have done a lot of porting on LS6/LS2 heads, and on our Stage 1 port we have been able to consistantly pick up anywhere between 25-35rwhp over a stock LS1 head.
