Default reuse headers bad y-pipe?????

my brother was given a used set of pacesetter headers that came off his z. my question is are they salvageable. the headers do not have flanges and the y-pipe had been welded in and then cut up to take out. it will be a lot of welding trying to make it work what do you guys think, what are some options for him?

sorry for the bad pic

That would be an easy fix, just rent some pipe cutters from autozone and get some slip on adapters. Most autopart stores have the adapters or can order them. The one that fits on the headers should be 3 in. OD and then the other side whatever size the Y pipe is.
