Would you say this is too loud?

I agree with the others, it sounds good to me inside the car but does have some rasp when taking off. Everyone has different taste when it comes to exhaust though. If you don't care for it, not sure what else you could do except try another type of muffler? Swapping the y-merge with a Flowmaster won't do much good IMO since the ARH merge is pretty good already. It's not the best, but there is worse out there. BTW, driving on the wrong side of the road is dangerous, you shouldn't be doing showing off like that.
I kind of laughed a little seeing that you used your blinker at every turn, even though no one was in front of or behind you. Good stuff though!

Okay thanks. What I don't get though (and I'm probably being dumb here) is that I'm sure the rest of the pipework is 3" so how would the 3.5" outlet connect up to the I-pipe?

The only way to get rid of the rasp is to get a catback with a big fat muffler like a magnaflow, or to do true duals. Y merge helps on crappy Y pipes but the ARH Y is very good already. GMMG was designed/tuned for a car with stock manifolds and cats much like the LM1, so it doesn't sound as good when you get long tubes on there.

You buy a 3.5 to 3 inch reducer or have a muffler shop expand a small 3 inch pipe to 3.5 on 1 end. Weld the big end to the merge and attach a 3 bolt flange to the little end, do the same for the i pipe. Bolt them together and thats it. but now that I look at your y pipe it doesn't look like you would need it. I cant think of anything else to do to reduce rasp
