I ran numerous H/C setups without cats....Ill never do it again. The car sounds much more refined and you dont smell like exhaust fumes.
Go with some hi Flow cats. You'll never notice the 3-5rwhp loss.

Do you lose HP or gain HP from no cats? Someone said you gain hp, and then someone said you lose which is it?

You'll gain a little power, but it's not really enough to use that as the sole reason to remove them. The people who said you'll lose power probably buy into the "backpressure" myth.

Agreed. It's not bad from time to time, but it gets old if you're driving the car all the time. Plus some people (wife/girlfriend/etc) might really not like it... you might start to hear them say "let's take my car" way too often for just this reason.

The smell and cleaning thing isn't a big deal to me seeing how I clean my car all the time and we have a boat with thru hall exhaust and love the smell lol. Just sounds like a cut out is going to work best and is fairly cheap. Now all I need to know what a good electric cut out is?
