Default throttle body size

Hey,
Looking for some opinions. I have a LS1 39 Ford project with a stock bottom, 02 motor, stock heads, A4 w/2500stall, probably in the range of 228/.580/112LC cam. 1 7/8 Lt's and a Pro-Flo Xt (yes, they do fit under the hood of some cars) Only weighs about 2800lbs. Was wondering if a 90mm tbody was too much & should I maybe go with an 85 ? Whaddaya think ?

Taking the weight of the vehicle in consideration, a 90mm throttle body will work pretty well on a build like that.

Thanks John,
Any thoughts on a MAF while you're at it ? stocker (if so, any particular one) aftermarket ?
This is new some new territory for me. Had an accell on my ****** but i didn't learn too much about EFi before I sold it. Always been a carb guy and working on crossing over.

I think you should run a bigger stall.

Well, It's supposed to be a 2800 actually, past experience with light cars has lead me to expect a little less. It's a Performabuilt and, if I remember correctly I gave them the weight so it may be closer to 2800. I didn't have exact cam specs to give them yet though. I do tow a 1300lb traler sometimes so it would be nice to keep some bottom end w/o having to tow in 3rd. That's why I was thinking no more than 228 dur. Probably should have gone with 1 3/4 primaries for a little xtra insurance of torque, despite the tests between the 2 sizes. I was thinking ahead to more mods. The intake is the new Edelbrock Pro-Flo xt which I believe has a 4 bolt pattern. Should be arriving in a few hrs.
