Default AN fittings on Radiators....

I am doing the blingy AN fittings on my radiator and trying to weigh out the functionality over cost issue and cannot seem to justify the 400ish bucks on radiator hoses (that is for 24 AN fittings). I am trying to talk myself into thinking -16 fittings will work for my cooling system. this is for a turbo car so heat is an issue. will -16 lines work or will they be too small? I'm thinking it is but just looking for some info from people here who have done AN radiator hoses.

I ran -16s on my last motor with a big radiator and worked fine, went with -12s on small radiator and still no issues.
