Looks real nice. It will build alot of pressure in the airbox so the motor will get all the air in can suck in. Nice job!.

intake looks good.. you should paint it though.. and your car is not that powerful that you wouldn't be able to feel 20 hp over 400. I have more than you and I could feel a difference just by adding a lid and bigger maf (added 4rwhp 7tq)

You are also a manual so you get a much closer feel for the entire rpm range at different throttle. I made 399 rwhp with a 4000 stall unlocked. High stalled cars are pretty much all or nothing when getting on it, and that is especially true at high speed where ram air takes effect.

Very nicely done. I applaud you for your ingenuity.

But, expect your car to run 10-20 degrees hotter due to the radiator not receiving the proper amount of air flow.

I was a little worried about overheating but saw no change in temps. I have a mezeire ewp, drilled 160 stat, and my fans turn on at 180*. The condenser is also gone so that removed a decent amount of restriction from the radiator.

I also don't have any problems with the radiator running hotter than usual and this is in high 90s heat. I have the Chrs1313 ram air kit, stock water pump, stock thermo, same 50/50 Dexcool for a longgg time, and I've had no problems. The gap between the top portion of the Chrs1313 ram air and the radiator is probably 1/4" also. I even removed both plastic baffles that go in front of the radiator.

I never tracked the car with the only changes being the airbox so I really cant say how much it helped.

Well, now that this thread was bumped I guess I'll post the very last installment of my ram air obsession before the motor gave out (Nov 2013):
