98 to 99 ls1 swap
98 to 99 ls1 swap WHat all do I need to get to swap a 99 LS1 into a 98 T/A? I know the coil pack brackets wont fit, what else do I need to get? Someone told me I need to use my 98 fuel injectors? I can do that but the 99 has new ones on it, so if I dont have to use the 98 I wont. Anyways anyhelp you could give would be great, thanks.
Just the coil brackets and valve covers from the 99 cause the 98's have perimeter bolt heads. The injectors for a 98 are 28.8lbs and the 99's had 26lb injectors so you need to swap them so it'll run right. My 98 has a 99 engine as well. I just swapped injectors though cause I got a complete engine. Everything else was fine IIRC.
