new lid ? not same ol ? I buying my new tsp smoked clear lid today (I have a cxi racing carbin fiber one now) I have the K&N filter now but here that it doesn't fit well in tsp, I like the filter being red cause my car is red and my color scheme is red and black.. Do I have any other options on red filters I know holley has the green and blue I think.. Thanks for the help...
do you really care that much what color your filter is? Maybe you should do the Blue Holley Powershot filter, that is what I use with my TSP lid and I have no problems. At least the blue is darker looking than a that green color.
it's not have to have a red one,but it would match better is what I was saying(to make anything look good it takes the perfect blend of colors). I was also wondering about the seal of the K&n and the TSP but someone answerd that for me.. Thank you by the way.
Sounds like you need a new filter gasket for the TSP lid.
The K&N uses a "band aid" piece of weather stripping to fit our cars properly. Contact TSP or K&N about getting a new gasket.

Of course they still get shipped preoiled in the color shown (red, blue etc.) to begin with but after they get dirty once you can just clean it well (according to the manufacturers specs of course) and reoil with the color of choice.
