Default 4" Flowmaster race mufflers

Has anybody used these and how do the sound? I'm looking at the round 4" Outlaw series race mufflers because I want a round muffler, not oval like I can only find the Borlas in. Basically to get rid of open headers and just weld the mufflers in place of the collectors. A 13.5:1 BBC with .740 lift is pretty nasty sounding with open headers. Sounds good, just too loud.

I'm running a the series 10 4" flowmaster muffler on a stroked 427 LS2. Honestly, its takes the edge of the noise doesn't hurt HP much but doesn't really do much for the noise overall. Its still loud as snot.

My car is track only so YMMV.

Thanks. Just as long as I can take a few db's off I'll be happy. Plus to be legal I need to run mufflers. I know it'll still be a loud ****, but I think this route would be the cheapest way to go. Mine is on the water, not the track
