It's the pipe that has the flange(connects to the muffler inlet) and the long pipe that goes down the car.. Don't know what it's called.. There the same size.. So I'm at a loss at what to do

Thats your intermediate pipe. As to how to connect it, maybe run to a parts store and rent an exhaust tube expander if they got one?

pics would help, but if you bought a new catback should be bolt on, shouldnt need a expander. when i got mine they where the same size but one was egg shaped so i had to staighten it back up before it would slide in.

ok lemme get this straight. Your over the axle pipe size is the same exact size as the inlet on the muffler? IDK if your explaining it right its hard to tell what you mean. And flange? IDK of any flange. All I can say now is if that catback setup isnt mixed parts then it should fit together. If the pipes are really a different size then you need a pipe expander like already said. Im willing to bet it will fit if you tap out the inside diameter (ID) with a hammer and maybe use some grease to help slide it in. But flange? IDK

The muffler inlet has a flange(u use a gasket and 3 bolts to put it together) the end of that pipe and the i pipe r the same size(3 in).. Maybe hooker just didn't expand this pipe by mistake .. Idk if I did need a expander they should have said so in the fukn directions.. And I do need one.. Looks like I'm walkin to autozone..

Alright well if your sure they wont slide in then it is what it is. Its expander time. Iv never had a catback that had flanges.

The pipe coming from over the axle should be flared to slip over the I-pipe. It "looks" like the same size, but it's not. I've installed probably 40-50 Hooker CB's in my day, and never once had one come in that didn't fit because of this type of issue.

Hooker failed to expand the over-the-axle pipe.. Took it to a muffler shop n got it all welded up for 40$
