Track was closed for winter right after I did the ls1 swap in my car. Was looking to buy a ls6 and got a pm about a fast 90 too good to pass up.

Throttle response through the entire rpm range went up drastically. Didn't lose any noticeable low end with my application (some people do, some people don't...depends on setup). Response felt better but the overall pull felt similar...until 4000rpm. From there on it was night/day difference both SOTP and how I pulled on friends' cars.

Conservative guess would be 0-5 under the curve, climb hard from 4k+ to around a 20-25rwhp peak gain over the ls1.

I'm not ******* the ls6 or the modified ls6. And compared to a new fast I agree 1000% they are better price/dollar, but the newer bigger "badder" intakes have driven down the cost of the 90-92s to a level they are decent buys for cammed cars or cars that intend to be cammed and not boosted.

I agree with you about boosted applications as well.

That's another big point here, we aren't talking about a TPIS ported intake in the first place...we are talking about Joe Schmoe's shop. OP, you can get a ported tb for ~$70 from sponsors here or buy one from the classifieds for much less. His $100 price for that is already steep.

I was only telling him about the option of the TPIS intake instead of porting
which can do more damage than good. Thats the only reason i mentioned TPIS for the gains and low cost. Just trying to help

I've seen several post that looked really good, really don't think it matters much...it's a very simple thing to do, basically anyone with an ounce of patience and the tools can do a good job. Just avoid Jantzer like the plague.

Personally I would spend the $30-40 on a Dremel. It's easy to do in less than an hour and you have the satisfaction of doing your own work to be proud of.
