New lid suggestion
no it has a bigger air opening on the "Lower box" on the radiator. the smaller lower box makes the car hungrier for a larger opening, when you open up the bottom of the box it gives it the air it was looking for. Im not saying the WS6 box flows as much as a normal box with the holes cut, just not worth the gains and hot air it will suck in in traffic. The lid is the same ramair/SS/whatever. get the slp lid and your set.
My slp fits perfect, so does my buddy justin's in his 00 z28, however my buddy has an 02 ws6 and his slp lid is being crushed by his hood and all three cars have factory hoods. As a matter of fact his car is the only one I have ever seen having this problem.
I originally had an SLP lid. Ran it for a few years without any problems. Sold it when I got an FTP 85mm lid to go with the 85mm MAF.
The SLP lid fit well on my car and I like the plastic it is made out of compared to the stuff that most lids are made from. I recommend them for the stock size MAF.

I had the SLP lid on my 02 Z28, never had rubbing issues or anything the whole time i had it. They seem to be a hit or miss with the rubbing issues but still pretty good lid's overall.
I cant believe NO one has chimed in on performance factor as far as lids go..Yes SLP is a GREAT company and their Lid is decent, but there was a write up somewhere either here or another site or perhaps a magazine.. once or twice , A Lid comparison.. actual Dyno tests done on Lids and MTI came out on top!

I bought a MTI clear lid maybe 3 or 4 month's ago and the first day I got it it crack on the part where it connect's to the throttle body, chunked it and put the stock one back on with a broken off drum stick in the side to plug up the AIR system hahaha...
Now I have the original MTI Power Induction lid I bought on here from a guy and it looks like it's built very very good. The material seem's to be thicker than the new SLP lid's and the mouth is bigger than the Clear lid I had.
