Default Fast 102 untuned

Can I run the fast 102/102 combo safely (~ 1000 miles) until I get a re-tune? The mileage is cause I my MWC 9" comes in next week so I would prefer to break it in and tuner is couple of hours away.

Car is H/C tuned with stock 28.8 lb injectors. I am about to do the ls6 valley cover mod and was just going to put the ls6 intake back on and have tuner install the FAST w/42lb injectors. Makes better since to install the FAST w/stock injectors and just swap out to the 42 for the re-tune.

Thx!

I think you can.

I moved from a 78mm throttle body to a 90mm throttle body on my LS6. My out of town tuner told me it would be no problem and it was not. The driveabilty was essentially unaffected and a check of the full throttle air-to-fuel checked okay at a local dyno facility.

Later, also between tunes, I upgraded to a FAST 102 intake albeit with the same 90mm throttle body and the car was still pretty well behaved until I finally got to my tuner for a retune.

And, as you said, do not install differenti injectors until your tuner is present.

You could probably do it but the car will probably drive terrible untuned. That's a lot more air coming in than a LS1/6 intake assuming that is what is on the car. It will probably have a pretty high idle. Each one is a little different but I don't think it will be happy!

Yeah should be good, i think when it comes to valvetrain thats when you shouldnt be driving unless its to the tuner.

I drove with my FAST, without a retune for over a year. Made 21rwhp untuned over my LS2 intake.

You should be just fine unless your tuned right to the edge already.

Nope, Stock LQ9, LS2 intake, Stock cam (.470" ish lift), stock exhaust manifolds etc...

Tested within the same hour, zero changes but the manifold, untouched FAST 92mm Intake. DBW 90mm LS2 throttle body on both.
