99 ls1 with mac headers , egr and air delete tips

Default 99 ls1 with mac headers , egr and air delete tips

Got a 99 formy with mac mid headers , i want the egr and air gone , any tips or tricks. I know it needs to be tuned out.

You can just pull the air junk off and run bolts down into the air tree's. No need to waste money on block off plates or waste your time making them.

The EGR tree on the headers can't also be plugged with a bolt, and you'll need a rubber freeze plug to plug the hole in the intake. I can't remember the size, but you can get them at any auto parts store. I wanna say it's a 34mm or 36mm adjustable freeze plug. It has a bolt going down the center so you can tighten/expand it.

You will need them tuned out. The SES light won't cause any negative effect on performance, it's just annoying.

See when you have that on the car its sending heat back into the intake making the cold intake a hot intake.

1 3/8ths Inch expansion plug is what your looking for its 2.99 at auto zone..

so the expansion plug goes into the rubber covered hard line coming out of the back of the intake and goes to the vacuum noid?
