LS1 to LS6 intake, PP or Fast Intake
LS1 to LS6 intake, PP or Fast Intake Sorry Im still new to this site.
I know this may be asked alot, but what kind of power gain can I expect to see swapping my ls1 intake with an ls6. I have headers, a full x pipe exhaust, an ls6 camshaft, and a few minor bolt ons like the slp lid. I just wanted some info as to what kind of gains i might see in hp and torque.
Also I have been reading up on the forums the differences between the fast intake and the professorial products typhoon intake. Im at a crossroad between the two. I would just like to know once and for all which out of the two is the better intake. It would be nice if someone had some dead facts for proof also.
Also my last question is about a new throttle body. Sorry I'm still a real noob with cars, I get most of my help from my brother. But what kind of throttle body should I get with the intake. I also dont understand the differences between like 85 mm and 92 mm, so can someone explain that to me.
Once again Im really sorry i asked a shitload of questions. I really just want to learn about whats right for my car. Thanks in advance.

^ You'll see around a 15hp gain going to the LS6 intake.. It can fit UPTO an 85mm TB (With adaptor).. But some argue that by THAT point, you mind as well take that $600 you spent for the intake and TB and just do a FAST intake. But with only an LS6 cam, it should suit you fine.. -The LS6 intake and a 78mm TB, that is..
Stocker TB is either 74mm or 75mm. P+Pd stockers are 78mm. 90mm can only fit on either a seriously modified LS6 intake, an LS2,3,7 intake or on a FAST intake.

LS6 intakes have consistantly picked up 15rwhp over the stock LS1 intake. We typically do not recommend the PP intake as we typically don't see much more power out of them than an LS6 intake will make. I would just save the cash and get a FAST later on down the road.
