Default broken oil press sending unit

ok did the LS6 swap and broke this damn thing I was super careful and it still broke WTF!!! what causes them to snap?? maybe the brake booster hose wraps around it when the intake is removed?? any ideas
anyway im pissed

some times the wire that plugs into it runs over the top of the brake booster hose and you have to reach back there and unplug it or you will brake it every time (happened to me a few times LOL). Is has not happened to me sense I found this...

I changed it twice and bith times it broke...... Now im driving with check gauges light on, too pissed to take the mani back off to change

The sender is between the intake and the brake booster line.. The intake has to be turned counter clockwise to get it away from the sender.

After I get the intake loose, I unplug the sensor then reach around the back of the intake and lift the brake booster line up and over the sensor as I pull the intake forward. Why GM but a massive fragile sensor right there and wrapped the vaccum line around I'll never know.

I broke my stock sending unit while removing my intake while the engine was on an ENGINE STAND. They are just friggen brittle man.

I broke mine too. Nothin but an aggravation. Gotta make sure the wire is disconnected. then I found the best way is to keep your hand in between the intake and the sensor while tryin to set it in place.
