Default new pcv theory and easy fix

i have been driving myself crazy with fixing the fact that my formula draws oil into the intake, while maintaining good vacuum to the crankcase, i noticed a couple weeks ago that i really wasnt drawing much vacuum with my catch can setup, i figuired i had a leak or was dropping vacuum because of all the length of tubing running back and forth, then i noticed if i pulled of the line that runs from the front of the passenger side valve cover to the front of the throttle body i was getting a major amount of air flow and this was waht was causing my drop in vacuum.

this made me think, is it the huge amount of air flowing through the system that carries oil with it instead of actually being the vacuum?, so i installed a shut off valve in the line between the valve cover and throttle body . i didnt shut the valve completely i just greatly reduced the flow, so i have much more vacuum but much less flow, any thought on this, ill let you know how i make out after driving it for a week

The catch can should not cause you any noticeable drop in vacuum. I ran 12 feet total of 3/8" fuel line, plus the can itself, and it did not cause any drop in vacuum. Remember, it may take a tad bit longer to create the initial system vacuum when the car is first started when using a catch can, but once running, you shouldn't notice a difference.

If you have noticed a loss in vacuum after a catch can install, you likely have a leak somewhere.

why don't you just use the ls6 pcv system?

For most people, this does little to nothing in terms of stopping oil getting through the PCV system....
