I dont know why it wouldnt be feasible
I run a much wilder setup, 408/11.2:1 248/252 .649/.646 112+4
and I have no problems with my solid mounts

I bought the Spohn Tubular K-Member with the tubular Pedestal style mounts... weigh reduction and strength all in one package...
plus great fit and you will have more room to get to things on the underside of your vehicle

I dont know for certain if they make something the same for the GTO's... but solid mounts are definitely the way to go.
