Default LM2 question

I have a LM2 on my 02. The car has Mac mids, with a Catted y-pipe. I love the way the car sounds. Problem is I am looking into installing a 383 sometime next year and was wonderring with the Mac mid and ORY will the LM2 sound like crap as the LM1 tends to with a ORY?

I ditched mine over 2 years ago and that was after having it for about 6 months. Too loud and raspy and the exhaust not sucked. I went with the SLP PowerFlo conversion

I love my mids and the car makes great power with them on the stock motor with bolt ons. I mean with a LM2 catback, Mids with a catted y-pipe, and a lid my car trapped 110 mph on a stock tune.. With just a SLP catted y-pipe, LM2, and lid my car trapped 107-108mph. So my mids gained me another 2-2.5 mph without any kind of tune with Cats as well..

I have a set of Flowtech Longtubes but I am probably going to run my mids to see what kind of numbers the car is going to make with them before I decide if I am going to use the Longtubes. I know alot of people who have built motors on boost or h/c motors that ran mids and made great power with them. I know of some people who switch over to LT's and only gained 5-7hp from the swap. I think its worth the shot to see what kind of numbers they make with the mids on the 383, unless I can find a y-pipe for the LT's for dirt cheap..

Well I guess we should see.. I am looking for 450rwhp so id I can reach that goal with my mids then I am going to keep them on the motor. If I cant I have the Longtubes as a backup..
