Default Is this mod worth doing?

I was looking into changing the rockers on my 2000 SS Camaro to roller tip & a larger ratio. I'v got a stock cam but a few other bolt on's. How much of a HP gain can be seen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you do rollers i would also do the cam with it would help more in my opinion, with stock cam and heads the best would be to do full bolt on first

don't waste your time. you will see nothing. and you will be adding weight to light weight valve train. if you do anything to the rockers it would be the trunion upgrade. which does nothing for hp only durability. do full bolt ons first, then cam and valvetrain.

I'v already have the parts on to help it breath, LT headers, high flow cats & exhaust, SLP lid, 85mm maf & LS6 intake. Just was wondering because i heard doing this will increase the lift without doing a cam swap.

ok well again you are adding weight to a light valve train. if you ever plan on going higher than 6000 rpm you will get valve float for sure. if i were you i'de just save up and do cam, push rods, springs, timing set all at once. it will be more worth while in the end. the gains seen from 1.8's will be nominal.

Thats the main reason why it's taken me so long; I refuse to get rid my 69' camaro. I just want a some what quick LS car, something to be driven any where or time. I'm sure I'll have plenty more questions in time. Thanks for the help.

if your not already aware, the clutch hydraulics on these cars are garbage. the rear end is stuffed with tooth picks and uncooked speghetti. oil pumps tend to fail. the motor respondes great to bolt ons and cam/heads/intake etc. however the rest of the car doesn't recieve the extra power as well as the motor does. just thought i'de warn you now before you find out on your own! good luck, have fun and never sell the 69!
