Default how long can rebuilt engine sit?

i have a rebuilt LS1 sitting in the garage, it has sat for about a year now. Is there anything I should do with it while waiting to put it in the car?

You just want to make sure nothing rusts internally. It would be a good idea to circulate some oil through it and manually spin it as mentioned above to the rings don't rust to the cylinders.

Also make sure all the intake/exhaust ports are sealed off so stuff doesn't get inside and try to prevent moisture from getting at the engine.
