Default Change exhaust for LT's?

I have LM1 exhaust and have LT's on the way and a catted y. A mechanic told me it was either a bitch to get in or I would have to change the exhaust to make it fit right.

Is this true?? Doesn't seem to be from what I've read on here.

I have pacesetter longtubes, ory, and a lm1 fit just fine,if you have a stock y pipe than you will have to change the y pipe for longtubes but mine fit together just fine wasn't hard at all,I swear some of these mechanics and exhaust shops are complete morons
