Default What Y-pipe do you run?

Just trying to get some better ideas on Y-pipes, what do you run, and how is clearance? I got new LTs and a TSP ORY pipe and it is awful, I am hoping their Rumbler catback is better because I am going to get that soon, but the Y-pipe Did not fit together well and there is like 3" of clearance. My old TD's had much better clearance.

i bought the pacesetter longtube ceramic coated header and then the pacesetter y pipe. i was on a budget but was really surprised at the quality of it. since the y pipe was aluminized i cleaned it up with a wire wheel and spray painted it with high temp paint and primer. i also put it together with band clamps. im glad i did bc i can take it off in a few minutes and it seals it very well. the clearance was perfect i did the entire exhaust in about three hours in the driveway and tweaked it once afterwards bc it touched the floor under heavy acceleration. doesnt anymore.

Jet Hot Catted Y-pipe here.

I'm sure its not the best for flow due to its crappy merge, but I'd say it tucks underneath the car the best of any of the 3" Y's that are out there. The driver's side, where it meets the collector is low, but that's the price you pay going from the factory flattened Y to a 3" Round Piece. The trade-off is worth it in my opinion.

So why'd you get rid of the true duals, considering they sound and flow better? My TDs (LPP x-pipe) are also fine clearance-wise. They only scrape every now and then.

My TSP y-pipe fits like **** also, its the only part i haven't been happy with from TSP, i was like WTF when i opened the box and saw it came in like 5 pieces! There have been multiple members on here that said their TSP y-pipe fit like **** also, then others say they have no problems with it.

I also have the tsp ory its a good y pipe with a great merge,my clearance only sucks right off the driver side header, honest even my buddy said your y pipe hangs really low,it does its job but I wish I would have had a custom one made, hopefully. Tsp will fix this issue because your not the first person I have heard say they had crappy clearance with there ory

I'm running a TSP ORY with the improved merge. It took a good bit of work to get everythign aligned and fitted perfectly. There is no floor board rattling but it does hang down lower then my Hooker ORY. I like that it's 3'', there is no floor board crimp on the driverside and it's a 3.5'' merge.

I have hooker super comp long tube with a tsp ory. I am not very happy with the fitment. It took me a while to get it to fit correctly with no leaks. I do like the improved merge!!! no major issue all fixed with time and patience.

I ran the y-that came with my kook headers for years. It had a tight fit and my exhaust tips seemed a little off. Then,i had a custom y pipe build from a shop near detroit. It was a little larger and a much nicer piece. My rear tips were straight after it went on. The shop is called PFE Fab in clinton township michigan.

Well it was custom built my hutto if anyones heard of him he makes really great X pipes but it was custom fit to my headers. And my headers were old grotyohann's and were getting rusted bad so I decided to just go with some new ones. And the x-pipe isn't close to fitting plus I was just gonna go with Y pipe because I am really tired of scraping.

I may just get the pacesetter Y seems like it tucks pretty good from what I am hearing.

I run a SLP y-pipe, got it with the really good merge before i knew about clashing "T" merges that everyone now avoids.

Yeah, my hooker lt's and tsp y oryp ( the new design ) were a pain to get installed together but, left no banging or low clearance issues afterwards either. On a side note, I wasnt able to reuse the trans tunnel brace afterwards though, as the y part of the merge was about 1" too low.
