Need some help! this is an engine related question..everyone on this site seems to kno their ****..i cant seem to get anything from the dumba..'s over at toyota-4runner.org...so my problem is...my 2004 4runner v6 used to get 17-19 mpgs and 390 miles on a full tank of gas..now its getting like 11-13 mpgs and like 282 miles to a full tank....what the hell is the problem? i kno this isnt the right site for this but i need some help from decent people like you guys!

i have done some testing with multiple vehicles for fuel economy. i would record fuel economy and what i found out is that the temperature has a lot to do with it. i would average the highest (41 mpg) in 65-75 degree weather and in the same driving conditions but temperature in the 10-30 degree range i would drop to around (36/37 mpg) that was in my saturn sl1 5 spd. (it was called the slow one). other than that it might need a tune up. check everything like the air filter, oil if needed to be changed, spark plugs wires, pcv valve etc.
Winter blend fuel causes my Toyota truck to drop 2-4mpg consistently each year when the gas stations start pumping it.
Also doesn't help that I start it up and let it idle 2-3 minutes every day before i drive off.
