Question Front & Rear eng.covers, and oil pan alignment.

I've got a leak around the rear cover and I'm also changing the oil pump and cam. So what do I align and torque to spec first?
Ive looked through my GM service manual several times, but I still didn't find a clear answer on which to align and torque to spec first.

Thanks!

So what do I align and torque to spec first?

The rear cover, front cover, or oil pan?

That's what I thought, but I just had to much doubt to be sure.

So, I did some searching and you're right; covers first then oil pan.

Glad I just came across this. I'm about to rebuild my engine when the block gets back from the machine shop and didn't know bout this. Thanks
