What is the small vacum line for that comes out of the back of the intake? This is for an ls3 intake if that matters?

Not sure if its different from an ls1 but there is 4 things that get connected to the back of the intake. One of them is the big hose that gets connected to your brake booster. Second is an electrical connection for your map sensor. Now the two vacuum lines are one for the air system and one for the hvac system.

It needs to be hooked up or you will have a vacuum leak. The hvac system is heating ventilation air conditioning system. It needs to be hooked up or capped off.

yea I know what hvac is. I guess my question is what does it control on the hvac system I thought that hvac was controled by electronics. Or where does the line need to go off the back of the intake my car had a small fire and im tryin to put it back together?

it controls the door on the hvac.... so it will be full defrost if left unhooked.
