Heat damage from headers??
Anyone ever have a problem with any kind of heat damage?
After the cam and header install I had a problem with the key lock cable. While pulling the old cable out I found that it had melted where it runs right underneath your heel under the carpet. It was either the collector that created all this heat or else the halogen lamp that was under the car while all the work was done. It also melted my rca's for my stereo. The headers are the SLP longtubes. Anyone have a problem like this, and should I wrap the collector with heat wrap? Also the car had not been driven yet when I found this problem and it had only three heat cycles.

Nope. Heat shield still there. I never heard of this but thought I would still ask. I am betting that it was the halogen work lamp that was under the car while we worked. I guess a hard lesson learned.

No problem Phil. All my rca's are garbage. Well over $100 in cables down the drain. Let me know what you got. I have six channels to run. Thanks.
