98 ls1 egr/tuning question hey guys, i was wanting to remove my egr for a clean look and being as my car is a 98, i was told not to. My engine is stock with custom intake and exhaust !air removed. I heard that since it's a 98, it has a bigger cam and i would get preignition. My other concern is that no one can tune the egr out cuz of the year?
The Egr spark table needs to be zeroed out. Otherwise the PCM will adjust timing based on the EGR flow that SHOULD be there. Mines removed, tuned out and my car runs great.
where is The Egr spark table located in hptuners? and how do you zero it out? any pics of what it supposed to look like?
