Help with heads
Help with heads I'm doing a head and cam swap but need some information. Does anyone have any experiences with Patriot Heads, good or bad? Also does anyone have any experience with AFR Heads, good or bad? The price difference is huge between the two and I’m trying to figure out why. How is the quality of the heads from each company? Last would I get the same gains or close just buy doing a port and polish job on my stock heads? The car is a 2002 Z06. Thanks for any help.

Patriot performance was one of the first on the scene for LS performance, They make quite a bit of stuff. However as time goes by so does engineering and learning advancements. As far as comparing patriot to AFR there is no comparison. A set of afr heads were designed and made, they are not worked stock heads. In the case of AFR you pay a high price, but you get what you pay for. I am not sayin they are the only great product, I run a set of worked PRC heads from Texas Speed That make crazy power and love them. But If I could have afforded the AFR heads,,well.
I would definitely take AFR heads over Patriots..
Also everybody will rant and rave about some Trickflow 215 heads..but they are very pricey.
Another good set of heads i would look into are WCCH or TEA..
You being in GA, i would take my car to Vengeance Racing.
