Default What are stock WS6 cats worth?

Just put LTs with highflow cats on 2000 WS6, what are the used stock cats worth? Better to sell at the scrapper or to an individual wish to pass emissions or other.

I would say selling them to somebody individually is better a lot of people going back to stock might need them, probably not worth that much though. Maybe $30 or $40? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I think he was pulling your leg.the main material people want out of cats is platinum, its worth alot.if you cats are under 50k miles they are worth some thing to some one in a smog strick state.

The market was hot from 2007-2009 then took a ****. It will prob turn around within the next couple years

These days they'll probably bring 60-70 per pair. If it were 2009 closer to $150-200per pair

I just paid $140 shipped for 2 OEM cats with <500 miles on them along with 2 OEM O2 sensors. So....they're not terrible expensive by themselves.

I've often wondered how much mine were worth. I held onto mine because there was a recall or something that allowed me to get em swapped out for new ones YEARS back. A week later I bought long tubes and stored the stockers in the garage just in case the smog ****'s forced me to throw them on at a later date.

The going rate a pair of cats off an LS1 f-body is about $100-$120 through a metal recycler. If you don't get triple digits for a pair of cats you're getting the short end of the stick.

Default cat scrap

If you get more then $35.00 you've done good. It is platinum that makes them worth money but its an american car so they dont contain much platinum. I scrap as a living and Ive scrapped my ls1 cats I got 30 a piece for them if you had a bmw or something you could maybe get 150 - 200 dollars. For those who dont know aftermarket cats are worth nothing at all they will not even take them.

I'm sorry man, they're worth about double what you sold them for. There are people right now on this forum who make money buying cats on here and then scrapping them for cash. Their paying $85-$95 shipped for a pair of cats and making a profit.

If "large gm cats" are the LS1 cats, a local near me is paying $100 + per converter.
