Thats not including a tune thou... I hate how it seems so do-able. The cam is only around 3, the pushrods only...then you add stuff up and your at or over a grand! One day i will get my cam

Frost can set you up for around 150$. For somehing like a 228 it would be very street friendly.

Just depends on if you can wait for deals.

I have seen people sell a mid size cam, springs, push rods on here for like 400-500$. I recommend a timing chain and oil pump, not everyone does.
All you need then is some gaskets/oil/etc. It isn't that bad if you look around. It can be done easily for under a grand.

Not that I want to keep it calm, I just can't afford a cam right now. I should not have said I WON'T do a cam, if I could afford it I would do it. I love the way a cam sounds I just don't have the means unless someone knows where I can get a kit for next to nothing. I found one on Texas Speed but even that is $600 plus shipping and thats to much for me right now. I have expensive things to sell to get the money I need but I can't seem to come across the right people for the hobby I was in to sell these things and craigslist just gets me a bunch of spam emails and I can't find them time to pull it all out to take pics and put it on ebay with 3 kids here to take care of. If I could sell my stuff I could get the 224R 112LSA cam, pushrods, and beehives from TSP, gasket kit, LS2 timing chain, LS6 ported and shimmed oil pump, and 3500 stall that I want but it's just not an economy to sell hobby remote control stuff right now so I'm kinda at a stand still due to money.
