Default FAST 102 confusion

Ok i have a few questions about using a FAST 102. Right now my car has an LS6 intake, smooth bellow, and a aftermarket lid. If i go to a 102 i know i need all bigger induction pieces. My plan was a 102, not sure on tb size but anyway, a 100mm mass air, and a fast toys lid. I know i need different rails and spacers for my injectors to work but since you can't mail order tune a 100mm mass air how am i suppose to get the car to a tuner. Is the 100 mm and the stock mass air the same overall size just bigger hole on the inside of the 100mm so that i can just use my stock sensor until i get to a tuner. or will i have to have whoever tunes my car do the intake install there. I'm confused about what order everything should be done. thanks

Another 102 misconception....you do not need bigger induction pieces with the 102, you can still run a 75mm intake tract or what ever size you choose. The reason the 102 replaced the 92 is because its better. Runner design/length are better than any previous FAST. The 102mm opening is there for those who need it (strokers, boosted apps, high rpm 346s), look at the guys making 92s 96s with porting. Opening up the entire intake tract to 102 on your car would be overkill. A FTP 98mm lid, 85mm MAF and 90mm TB should be all you need. Doing a 104 lid/100mm MAF/102 TB will not hurt it, but it wont be as cost effective

I forgot to mention I'll be running PRC 215s and a MS4 not the Torquer 2 anymore. Its going in my Camaro and the FAST will be on the Trans Am. So would it still be overkill. Thanks

On the 215 heads, probably not. In stock form the 102 shouldn't out-flow the heads. Just port match it to the head and call it good.

The intake is not over kill on any head period. Since you are running an MS4 and will be revving it pretty high id get the 104lid/100MAF/102 TB. Will leave you all the room in the world to grow.
