Default Setup advice

Ok so first and foremost I will be installing an LS1/T56 into a 1971 Datsun 240z and am looking for a little advice on what modifications I should do before I throw the engine into the car. The car will weigh ~2200lbs and I am limited to shorty headers and a 3.5" exhaust. The car will be road raced and drag raced. I was looking to just install an ls6 oil pump and Improved racing oil pan baffle before I installed the engine that way I don't have to remove it again. Looking to get 400+whp. Car will not have AC nor PS

What cam/intake/tb combo is most commonly used for shorty headers? I was thinking of going FAST 92/92 but idk if it's even worth it with shorty headers. Any experienced guidance would be appreciated. Possibly do dual timing chain and UDP while the engine is out...

Will also be adding a 100 shot down the line as well by the end of summer after all the kinks are worked out. Thanks in advance guys!

Interesting setup, I wanted to do something like that also with an LS6 shortblock but instead decided to work on the Z06.

If you are going to utilize shorties and true duals, you realize you're not going to get the same intake / exhaust profile working as with a nice set of equal length long tubes. In either case, you should be able to get more from the engine with the upgraded induction.

what heads will you be using?if 243s ($400)get a ls6 intake($300) and a ported 78mm TB($50).get a custom cam from Patrick-G,Predator-Z,or Damian($400).you will need a cam with a wider duration split favoring the exhaust.sounds like a very fun ride.

I'll probably step it up to 243s maybe look for a deal on used port and polished ones. Is going ls6/78 better than going FAST 92/92 or should I not even consider since I will be limited to shorty headers?
