can a 98 and an 01 swap intakes easily?

can a 98 and an 01 swap intakes easily? My mom has an 01 SS and I have a 98 Z28. Since her car has the ls6 intake and mine has the ls1 intake, I was wondering if it would be hard to just swap one for the other? Would I need to make any modifications to them, or just switch them? I have heard the the AIR is a problem, is this true?
You will need to swap the coolant lines. Your car has a big x coolant line under the manifold that goes from the front to the back of the motor. The newer car has a line that connects the front, but two plugs in the back. You will have to do something with the EGR on both cars. You will need to plug the LS1 intake. You will either have to make an EGR provision for the LS6 intake or just remove your EGR all together. Removing EGR will set an SES light, but you can get this removed with custom programming if it bothers you. It will not affect performance. Other than the coolang lines and EGR hole, they will be a direct swap.
