Default Cut-out vs True Duals

Will a cutout placed right after the Y pipe yield the same gains as a true dual setup power wise? Thanks.

Do you have LT's? Catback? Cutout is a nice mod, most people put in the I pipe right before the axle, but some tend to leak (which can be annoying), some people get lucky and there's doesn't leak. If I were you, I would go with true duals, if your car isn't lowered and you don't plan to lower it, then I would go with a 3" true duals with X pipe and your choice of mufflers. If your car is lowered, then I would go with 2.5 with X pipe. My car is lowered 1.5 and I have 2.5 true duals, and clearance isn't bad, but I do tend to scrap a new big bumps. BTW you will fall in love with the sound of true duals also! Good luck man

Well, what it comes down to is money, or lack thereof. I know I could get a dump setup for wicked cheap, but I couldn't stand the constant drone or especially the vibrations caused by the dumps. Therefore, any true duals I would do wouuld HAVE to go over the axle. Because of the cost of over-the-axle true duals, I've almost made a decision to go with ORY/cutout/catback. My exhaust is stock for now, but I plan on putting in Pacesetters, then the rest of what I just listed.

Cutout flows great. It won't sound as tuned as true duals, but it flows all you need to flow.
