Default SLP Lid mod, your opinions needed.

So after bending the lip down on support thats right in front of the lid to improve air flow i did the free ram air mod and that seemed to help(or could be the placebo effect) i put a small wedge between the support and the Lid assembly to give about a 1/4 inch gap to open up the mouth of the Lid and hopefully improve air flow and in make slightly more power in the process. I had nothing better to do this morning and just wanted to get some feedback on it good or bad, it took 5 min and would be easy to reverse so its not a big deal.

that was my thought also, but in cylinder heads and porting its not always about volume it's also about velocity but thats a whole different story this is an air filter and the more the better in my opinion. and when you only dealing with a 1 1/2" gap for air flow a 1/4" more is a lot in that sense.
