Default Burnsstainless custom headers?

Has anytone ever ordered custom headers from this company? They say they can custom taylor headers to your application and their product looks top notch. I really like the tri-y designs with the merge collectors and calculated angle transitions. I'm sure no one has them on an LS1 but wondered what an average price for something like this would run if anyone's had experience with them on other engines?

Great idea! The reason you don't see it much is that it'll consume the better part of 3 grand if it's done correctly. Headers should be matched to your engine combination, and probably fabbed on your car. There are companies which do this, like Performance Welding.

Don't feel bad about the price. A set of Nextel Cup 4-2-1s in Inconel cost about twice that.

We also can do this with the Burns collector. But like Old SS said it is expensive the collector alone is $800. We do custom LS1 race headers starting at $1500.

Not that they're exactly a direct bolt on, but Flowmaster makes 4-2-1 scavenger collectors that you could weld onto existing headers and somewhat tune the length and such. Not nearly as expensive, but obviously not quite as great of gains.
