eliminating rasp
are true duals the only way?
my t/a is cammed w/ lt headers, ory with fm merge out a CORSA
and she's queen rasp and im getting over it
so are td's the only way?
slp dual duals, gmmg, corsa, sound great stock, but cammed, they get raspy also
same goes with a magnaflow, just to a smaller extent

Borla Adjustable system here with a 233/238 112lsa cam. Only time I get that nasty rasp sound is when I have the cutout plate with the biggest and second biggest hole. No rasp with the small cutout plate or completely closed. Not sure but I think the borla and corsa mufflers are similar internally though. Not running cats either. Adding a resonator or muffler like the dynomax bullet may help but will quite it down even more.

From what I read, the merge has a lot to do with rasp. Get a quality merge like a flowmaster if you want to keep the ory and catback. Personally, I'll be going td when I do lts.
Well, just re-read and saw you have the fm merge. Don't have any hands on experience but from reading what you put, there aren't many options left.

i do have the flowmaster merge (fm merge )
and at idle and acceleration its pure sex, bleep the throttle and its a horrifying growl, lol(in a good scary way, i have scared ladies at the intersection by just beeping the throttle lol,)
but give it some gas or got WOT and its horrible
the fm merge tamed it alot but not enough
i was thinking about adding a magnaflow bullet to the i pipe

Eliminate rasp, eliminate the y pipe ,lol, unless you upgrade to a flowmaster merge ,and run cats that would help but there is not one y pipe set up I know of that sounds better than a good dual setup, best sounding f body I have heard had tsp x pipe and sweetthunders, ran out the back threw a cme,car sounded great,a lot of these y pipes that are sold should be called T pipes,a lot have really bad merges that just make rasp lol
