Question About Sealing WS6 Hood
Question About Sealing WS6 Hood I was wondering if anyone knew what the distance is between the airbox and the hood when the hood is closed. Im working on sealing my hood to my airbox. Im using an old Brian Green gasket and I am making spacers for it to make it snug. Thanks for the help!
i can tell you how to make a perfect gasket, it sounds messed up but it does work....
get 2 or 3 cans of that expand-a-foam type **** from home depot. cover your box and opening under the lid.. fill a 12 gallon trash bag with the foam right out of the can, put it under the hood in between the lid and air box, let it sit for a couple of hours, make sure to tape up the openings under the lid and the air box or it will get in the cracks and break off. this does work, i have used this method for making custom breathers to check for clearance.

It took reading your post a couple of times, but I get what your saying and it does sound like a good cheap idea. I already have the brian green gasket though and have cut out a couple of plexiglass pieces as spacers. I just wanted to know the distance that was needed to space it.
